Why Travel Insurance Matters
Sambara strongly recommends travel insurance for all travelers. Coverage should match the planned activity, route, altitude and medical needs. Even a simple Nepal itinerary can involve flight delays, traffic disruption, baggage delay, health issues or unexpected cancellation.
Insurance is especially important when the itinerary includes domestic flights, mountain viewpoints, adventure extensions, jungle activities, long road transfers or non-refundable hotel bookings.

Match Policy to Route
A Kathmandu and Pokhara city tour needs different coverage from a trek, rafting extension or high-altitude route. Travelers should read activity exclusions carefully and confirm whether altitude, helicopter evacuation, domestic flight disruption and adventure sports are covered.
Guests with pre-existing conditions should confirm how the insurer handles those conditions. Carry medicine in hand baggage and keep prescriptions or doctor notes when necessary.
